My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Brilliantly bizarre and utterly intriguing, this book opens with two children burying their parents in the yard and only gets more interesting from there! The characters are superb and the alternating narrators helped keep the story moving along. It was a bit difficult to understand some of the dialect, but once I got used to it I had no problems at all. This is a piece that is definitely worth reading!

Written in the general style of Barbara Kingsolver with each chapter narrated by a different person in the vernacular of that person, I found this to be an excellent read.
