This book had excellent reviews and even won an award, so I was very excited to be offered a chance to read it. Sadly, it wasn't my type of book. I found it to be overly complicated and heavy with confusion. The plot and characters were just too complex and I found myself not feeling engaged and often considered putting it down and walking away. The only thing that kept me coming back was the high quality of poetic writing and the promise of an answer to some of the overarching questions. Even with some answers, things were just too jumbled to leave me feeling satisfied.
