My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Fans of steampunk, Shakespeare, and symphonies of errors all will find that they all share one thing in common - a love of this book! This is a fascinating venture into a world not unlike our own, yet still distinctly different. The characters have vivid depth, and I was especially pleasantly surprised by the male author's grasp of the female heroine - she was very well-written and not at all forced as is often found in male-written literature. Along with hidden identities and struggles for equality were true gems of steampunk such as marvelous machinery and dark mysteries. This is a book that could easily become a well-loved classic.
