The language this tale is written in hearkens back to an older writing style, which actually was a bit of a turnoff - it felt pretentious. However, the story was interesting and there weren't any glaring grammatical or spelling errors. The story felt un-original - beautiful maiden gets captured, handsome prince rescues her - and really the characters didn't interest me very much. But it wasn't the worst book I've ever read, so I still think it was worthwhile.
