This was an excellent story with a simple structure perfect for middle school readers! The characters are interesting without being too one-dimensional or complex, the storyline is exciting, and there are a lot of fun cultural snippets throughout. Truly an educational yet enjoyable read. I really enjoyed it despite being quite a bit older than a middle school student, so I think it is suitable for all ages middle school and up!
