Honestly, I wasn't sure what to think at first. Obviously, it's meant to attract adult readers and writers, but I had a hard time understanding just what they are trying to raise money for. I read through the gig several times, and what I walked away with is that this is to create workshops for writers to increase their romance/adult topics themes (I'm keeping this as g-rated as possible, especially with my upcoming nomination into IBBA on Goodreads, but hopefully you understand what I am trying to say here!). They are also trying to integrate more classic art with novels - like the kind of art you find in a fancy art museum, not that contemporary "splatters" stuff that often passes for art in galleries. ;)
Normally I would post the graphic of the link, but I need to censor it for my lovely audience, so I'm just going to post the link HERE. If you are interested, definitely check it out!
I checked it out. Looks cool. It is not adult content at all. They are going to have Fine Art and Boudoir Photography style, except with videos. Kind of like Madonna's EXPRESS YOURSELF and VOGUE videos. The difference is, instead of people singing and dancing, they will be reading. It looks really cool. It will probably draw a lot of attention to a lot of books that people normally would not know about. And that includes the Classics as well as non-fiction. I noticed there will be courses on Success, Business, and Marketing. Thanks for mentioning this.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks for helping me to figure it out! I'm really glad I decided to back this gig. :)
