My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This intriguing book can be summed up in two little words: "Life happens." Every last detail felt real, and the friendships are beautifully portrayed. It also showcases the reality that the ideals of childhood and young adulthood do not always survive into maturity when life intervenes. The characters are raw and believable and deep, and the world comes together in all five senses through the descriptions. It is a beautifully written book, even in the ARC version that I read. Very recommended!
